most of growing people think that parents should teach children how to be good members of society. the first reason is parents are the closest members of children. children are growing up with parents since the time children came to the world, so they believe that parents are more able to give moral value and asset to be members of society in the future. the second reason is affection. children will accept moral value by giving them affection, and the ones who can give affection are parents. third reason is parents are the closest role model for children to learn how to be good members of society because children can observe their parents daily.
however, school can be a place for children to learn this. in school, children meet their friends. children will know another role model beside their parents. diversity of their friends, characters will give them another lesson how to be good members of society. children will learn how to be models that society wants by observing their friends. some people believe that children will get a lesson easily by relating directly with their playmates.
therefore, i believe that both parents and school side should teach children how to be good member of society. i think both side have the same important portion. befor4e children meeting new people outside their family, parents give them moral value with affection. after children growing up, going to school and meeting their friends, they can applicate moral value which is given by their parents at home.
